As a tribute to the universal and inspiring struggle of women, the exhibition titled "WOMAN", created by 36 photographers accompanied by 36 Ceyhun Atuf Kansu poems, was opened on Wednesday, March 6th at 15.00 at IKU Art Gallery (IKUSAG). Organized to contribute to the power, resistance and struggle of women on the occasion of "March 8, International Women's Day", this exhibition was designed to reflect the profound impact of women in their lives and the value they add to society.
The exhibition, in which the opening speech was made by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Dr. Mehmet Üstünipek and Curator Güven Baykan, was organized in cooperation with Cumhuriyet Newspaper. Cumhuriyet Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Mine Esen and Education Editor Figen Atalay also attended the exhibition. The exhibition, which advocates for a world where women can live freely, will be open for visits until April 17th, 2024, at the IKUSAG Exhibition Hall on Istanbul Kültür University Bakırköy campus, Ataköy building.
