Ceyhun Atuf Kansu Şiirleri Eşliğinde “KADIN” Fotoğrafları Sergisi İKÜSAG’da Açıldı

As a tribute to the universal and inspiring struggle of women, the exhibition titled "WOMAN", created by 36 photographers accompanied by 36 Ceyhun Atuf Kansu poems, was opened on Wednesday, March 6th at 15.00 at IKU Art Gallery (IKUSAG). Organized to contribute to the power, resistance and struggle of women on the occasion of "March 8, International Women's Day", this exhibition was designed to reflect the profound impact of women in their lives and the value they add to society.

“IMAGES OF THE CENTURY: REPUBLIC AND PAINTING-SCULPTURE EXHIBITION” OPENED AT IKUSAG

"Images of the Century: Republic and Painting-Sculpture Exhibition", consisting of a special selection from Istanbul Kültür University Akıngüç Art Collection, opened at IKUSAG on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. The opening speeches of the exhibition were made by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and our Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Dr. Mehmet Üstünipek.

In this exhibition, which is a look back on the centenary of the Republic, a cross-section of the changes experienced with the Republic's principle of bringing art to all segments of society is presented.

Fikri Karayel Concert

Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) continues to bring together great events with Kültür students and art lovers. Cypriot performer, songwriter and composer Fikri Karayel met with music lovers at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Thursday, November 16, at 19.00. Fikri Karayel, who fascinated the audience with his performance, received intense applause.

"'WORDS AND COLOURS' EXHIBITION FROM İSKENDER PALA NOVELS & 13 NOVELS AND 13 PICTURES" OPENED AT IKUSAG

Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) brought together the painting exhibition "Words and Colors" prepared by 13 artists, inspired by the 13 novels of writer İskender Pala, with the people of Kültür. The exhibition opening took place on Wednesday, November 15 at 15.00 at the İKÜSAG Exhibition Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız, our academic-administrative staff, students and art lovers attended.

"DEAR SHAMELESS DEATH – DIRMIT" THEATER PLAY MET WITH PEOPLE OF KÜLTÜR

The play "Dear Shameless Death - Dirmit", written by the famous writer Latife Tekin and brought to life by Nezaket Erden's performance, met with theatergoers at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Wednesday, May 17 at 19.00. The play, which depicts the struggle of a crowded family migrating from the village to the city through the eyes of Dirmit, the youngest daughter of the family, was produced by Theater Hemhâl and directed by Hakan Emre Ünal. Actress Nezaket Erden's spectacular performance received a great applause.

GOLDEN HORN BRASS TOOK STAGE FOR MUSIC LOVERS

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Centre continues to organise beautiful events for art lovers. In the concert organized by the Fine Arts Application and Research Centre (GSUAM) on Thursday, May 4 IKU welcomed Türkiye's first and longest-running brass quintet, Golden Horn Brass to the stage. The ensemble consisting of distinguished musicians specialized in both the orchestral repertoire and the field of education provided an unforgettable experience to music lovers with sophisticated arrangements of jazz, pop songs and folk tunes as well as classical pieces.

FAZIL SAY MET WITH ART LOVERS AT IKU

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center hosted world-famous composer and pianist Fazıl Say on Monday, April 24. Fazıl Say gave an unforgettable night to art lovers at the concert organized by the Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM). In the concert, Say also included the last two great sonatas of M. Schubert which he composed just before his death. 

BORUSAN QUARTET MET WITH MUSIC LOVERS AT AKINGÜÇ AUDITORIUM AND ART CENTER

In the concert organized by the Fine Arts Application and Research Centre (GSUAM) on Thursday, 13 April at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Centre, Borusan Quartet, which has a wide selection from the classical period to the modern period and attracts attention with its national and international tours, was the guest of our university. The repertoire, which included the works of Turkish composers and romantic masters of music, gave classical music lovers pleasant moments.
