ISTANBUL KÜLTÜR UNIVERSITY WAS AT ISTANBUL 2ND ART AND ANTIQUE FAIR

Istanbul Art and Antiques Fair, sponsored by Istanbul Kültür University, which enabled our country to reach an important point in the field of culture and art while representing our country on the international platform; It was the meeting point of art lovers at the Istanbul Congress Center between 4-7 November. Visited by 28,500 people, the Istanbul Art and Antique Fair hosted 10 thousand antique objects from 80 antique shops, more than 300 artists from 42 art galleries, and 2 thousand works of art in an area of approximately 15 thousand square meters for 4 days.

IAAF ART AND ANTIQUE FAIR & REYHAN ULUDAĞ “URBAN TRANSFORMATION”

Many artists and works met with art lovers at the Istanbul Art and Antique Fair, which was held at the Istanbul Congress Center between 4-7 November. Artist Assoc. Prof. Reyhan Uludağ, one of the academicians of the Department of Art and Culture Management and the Director of IKU Art Gallery, presented 15 works with the theme of “Urban Transformation” to art lovers at the Istanbul Art and Antique Fair.

AKINGÜÇ AUDITORIUM AND ART CENTER OPENS ITS CURTAINS WITH 'PLASTİK AŞKLAR'

Istanbul Kültür University Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center opened the new season with the play Plastik Aşklar, staged by Oya Başar and Ebru Kural, on 2 November at 19.00. In the play, where master theater actors Oya Başar and Ebru Kural shared the stage, theatergoers had a night of laughter. Başar and Kural were presented with flowers for their successful performance at the end of the game and the pleasant night they gave to the people of Kültür.

SEMA BARLAS FACE TO FACE ART EXHIBITON

Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG) opened the 2021-2022 art season on Wednesday, October 13 at 15.00 with the art exhibition titled "Face to Face" by Painter Sema Barlas.

Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın, Curator Özer Ulukaya and IKÜSAG Director Assoc. Prof. Reyhan Uludağ Eraslan made the opening speeches of the exhibition. As this is the first exhibition of the season, the event, where everyone came together with excitement, underlined the healing and unifying power of art, especially during the pandemic period. 

"FROM STORY TO SCENE WRITING WORKSHOP"

"From Story to Scene" was organized by the Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) on Saturday, April 10, at 13:00 on the Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application. Lecturer Bilgen Kuzu was the moderator of the workshop, which was held by Theatre Artist and Writer Efe Yeşilay. In the workshop, the stages of theatre and film authorship from narration to staging were explained through examples. The changing writing and staging techniques were emphasized by evaluating the current play studies.

"ART AND MUSIC" CONVERSATION

The conversation titled "Art and Music" moderated by Yeşer Yelmez Meriç, organized by IKU Fine Arts Application and Research Center, was held with the participation of our State Artist Pianist Gülsin Onay. During the conversation held on March 10, the audience had the opportunity to get to know Onay's music career closely. The conversation featured unforgettable memories about the place and importance of female artists in the world, the healing power of music, and valuable composers in the field of music.

Art Therapy Workshop

The “Art Therapy Workshop” organized via Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application by Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) on February 27, Saturday at 13.00. Bilgen Kuzu was the moderator of the workshop, which was organized by Expert Psychologist Volkan Demir. In the workshop where psychology and art were blended, emotions and expressions were tried to be discovered through the painting works of the participants.
