Eti Children's Theater met with children at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center for two sessions, between 12.00 and 14.30 on 26-27 January, with the play "When You Say Happiness", written and directed by Ünsal Sicilli. The play, in which Arda Çoban, Barış Dizer, Çağatay Varol, Gülşah Kağan and Nil Gül were in the cast, in an entertaining and educational way told the values one should have in order to be happy. The play was enjoyed by the children. Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center activities will continue with the Fazıl Say concert on February 9, 2023.

IKU Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) held its second exhibition opening of the season with “Archive Exhibitions: Ali Hâdi Bara” at IKU Art Gallery on Wednesday, December 14. Our Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Dr. Mehmet Üstünipek made the opening speech of the exhibition, to which Our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız and our Board of Trustees Advisor Ender Rıza Ekici also attended.

The theater play “And then There Were None” starring Ediz Hun, the unforgettable actor of Yeşilçam and featuring master actors, met with art lovers on Thursday, December 15, at 19.00, at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. The play from the pen of the world-famous writer Agatha Christie tells the mysterious murders committed after the invitation of ten people with entirely different personalities who do not know each other to a party to be given on a deserted island.

The play "Anne", starring renowned actors Engin Hepileri and Defne Kayalar, was staged for art lovers on Thursday, December 1 at 19.00 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. Written by the Oscar-winning French writer Florian Zeller, the play tells the psychological strain of a mother caused by her individuality being dissolved and the loss of her agency in the modern patriarchal family structure . The play, which was staged with the magnificent performance of the actors under the directorship of Onur Ünsal, was a big success with the audience.

Master actress Sumru Yavrucuk met with art lovers with her solo comedy play “Shirley” on Thursday, November 17 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. Artist Selmin Artemiz’s unforgettable music compositions accompanied the play, which was written by British writer Willy Russell and adapted by Sumru Puppy. In the play, the story of Shirley Valentine, who got lost in the boringness of her daily life and who, like many women, has even forgotten her dreams, was told. The play ended with a standing ovation from the audience.

Istanbul Kültür University Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center continues to bring together beautiful events with students of Kültür and art lovers. In the concert, held on Thursday, November 3, by the IKU Fine Arts Practice and Research Center (GSUAM), Cihan Mürtezaoğlu, who has written many songs such as Bir Beyaz Orkide, Hangi Yol, Sen Banasın, Belli Olmaz, and won the hearts of many with his naive musical style, was a guest of our university. Mürtezaoğlu gave pleasant moments to music lovers with his magnificent stage performance.

The "Archive" exhibition, which examines the art life of Cihat Burak, one of the most extraordinary painters of Turkish art, in all its dimensions, was held on Wednesday, October 19 at 15.00 at the Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG). In the exhibition, in which the artist's productions in different disciplines and the breaking points of his art are examined, Architect, Painter and Story Writer Burak’s colorful world meets the audience with the artist's works, interviews and archive documents. The exhibition, curated by Res. Assist.

“Meeting” group painting exhibition which was held with the collaboration of Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) and Greyart has met with art enthusiasts in İKÜ Art Galery (İKÜSAG) on 11th of May Wednesday at 15.00. At the exhibition, which was initiated after the speeches of our Rector and Curator Mustafa Albayrak, takes part the works of the six outstanding artists of Turkish contemporary painting art such as Altan Çelem, Bahri Genç, Ekrem Kahraman, Gülten İmamoğlu, Mahir Güven ve Mustafa Albayrak.

Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) hosted the Anatolian Wind Quintet, which introduced the listeners to the most popular blown quintet pieces of the music repertoire, with its project titled "Del Mundo". The Anatolian Wind Quintet, consisting of Cem Önertürk, Ufuk Soygürbüz, Kıvanç Fındıklı, Ozan Evruk and Hüseyin Uçar, met the audience on Thursday, April 28 at 19.00 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center.

Istanbul Kültür University Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) brought together Özgen Ulukutlu's painting exhibition titled “While Colours Loom” with the people of Kültür and art lovers. At the exhibition, which was opened on Wednesday, March 30, at 15.00, art lovers were able to see the works of Ulukutlu, which he created by abstracting the elements of nature with different colour compositions. The poetry book Cibinlik, which she wrote inspired by Ulukutlu's painting works, also attracted attention in the exhibition.
