Organized by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM), the play “Küçük Balkon” was staged at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Bakırköy campus Ataköy building on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 20:00. In the play written and directed by Can Kılcıoğlu, Vildan Atasever, Nazlı Senem Ünal and Deniz Karaoğlu received great appreciation from the audience with their performances.
Istanbul Kültür University Fine Arts Application and Research Centre (GSUAM) organised the concert "The Wind of the Republic: 100 Years with Melodies" to celebrate the 100-year history of our Republic and the polyphonic richness of Turkish music. The event met with art lovers at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus on Wednesday, October 23 at 19:00.
Organized in collaboration with Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG) and Cumhuriyet Newspaper, the exhibition “Türkiye of Liberation: Ankara Summer 1922” through the Eyes of Yevgeni Lansere opened to visitors on Wednesday, October 16, at 15.00, at the IKUSAG Exhibition Hall in the Bakırköy Campus, Ataköy building.
The exhibition, which highlights the observations of Russian artist Yevgeni Lansere during his time in Anatolia, was featured in the October 17 issue of Cumhuriyet newspaper.
Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG) opened its 2024-2025 season with Yevgeni Lansere's exhibition “Türkiye of Liberation: Ankara Summer 1922.” The opening of the exhibition, organized in collaboration with Cumhuriyet Newspaper, was held on Wednesday, October 16 at 15:00 in the IKUSAG Exhibition Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus.
Lepidus Ensemble, one of the popular chamber music ensembles, met with art lovers on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 19.00 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in our Bakırköy campus Ataköy building. The Lepidus Ensemble concert, which was founded as a string quartet in 2011, featured the repertoire of important composers such as Albioni, Mozart and Bregovic. The artists, who gave classical music lovers an unforgettable night, were sent off with applause.
The "KRONOPOP" concert was held with the joint efforts of IKU Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) and Orchestra IKU, on Thursday, May 2, at 19.00 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus. At the concert, the most popular Turkish pop songs from the 90s to the present were performed by Orchestra IKU. The audience enjoyed themselves, experiencing joyous moments at the concert, in which important songs of Turkish pop such as "Tavla", "Zor Kadın" and "Sarışın" were sung.
Onur Salkım's photography exhibition titled "Notice: The Free Wings of Nature", which includes 30 photographs of migratory birds taken in their natural environment with informative notes, was presented to art lovers and nature lovers at Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG) on Wednesday, April 24.
The exhibition, where our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, our Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Dr. Mehmet Üstünipek and Res. Assist. Onur Salkım made the opening speeches, also gives important messages about natural habitats and biodiversity.
İKÜ Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) brought together the theater play "Supporting Role", which tells the story of a female actress who cannot even be the starring role in her own life with Kültür members and theater lovers. The play, which was staged by Merve Polat at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus at 19.00 on Thursday, April 18, 2024, received great appreciation from the audience.
The children's theatre play called “When You Say Happiness" was staged at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Centre with the joint efforts of ETİ Children’s Theatre and İKÜ GSUAM, on Saturday, March 16, at 12.00 and 14.30. The play was organized for children free of charge as a social responsibility project and it included important messages such as sharing, friendship, nature, loving animals and empathy.
